ESSEX SENIORS SUNK BY LAST GASP PUTT

WYKE GREEN, MIDDLESEX -- The scene of one of the closest Essex/Middlesex matches ever played last year when the Essex team stole a draw, coming from behind which catapulted us into the Regional final.

This year’s Seniors contest the result was reversed when Bruce Hurley sunk a long last putt on the eighteenth green to get a half from Romford’s Geoff Kirwan.

A special mention goes to Chris Harrington (Upminster) making his debut, and after finding himself 4 down fought back for a 2&1 victory.

Middlesex earn a longed for victory over Essex after a six year gap.
